I was looking at old contests, to learn more on "fences".
I feel a little perplexed: why this one placed 33rd?
Mysteries of the contests: in my opinion, it would have deserved a place within the first 10 (if not the first 5)! |

Judy, this one should have scored a bit higher...I know I did! Beautiful comp and I really like the overall feel of it! T. |

I like cows. I admire you on getting a photo of one standing still. All my animal models don't like staying still for the shot. Very good. |

Nice detail, excellent exposure, would have liked to see the full face. |

Great shot. I like that you have kept the horses eyes out of the photograph. |

Very sharp. Having the eyes would have helped the photo. |

I really like this closeup shot. I am surprised that they get this close to the barbed fence. I love seeing the big nose. The border is a great complement to the wire but it created this brighter line running along them. Not sure what causes that. Cute photo! |

Well...it's in focus and the rule of thirds seems to have been applied. I must admit...this meets the challenge although I find looking down the mussel of a horse (or cow) a bit unappealing. |

really nice. has plenty of humor. :) really really like your crop job. Most people woudl have been afraid to crop the cow out, but this is wonderful - I know Bossy is there, but you've kept me focused on the fence.... |

Made me laugh, one of my favorites in the challenge. There are many pictures with animals in this challenge where I feel the focus is rather one the animal than on the fence. This one puts fence and animal into relation in a creative way. Hope it does well! |
