The sharp change in lighting is distracting. Ideally, all the subjects should have been in the shade and any sunlight areas should be cropped out. Pictures taken in bright overhead sun rarely come out exposed properly. |

I think this photo would be better with the camera closer to street level. The shot is a bit incongruous with the title. That being said the subjects are really quite intriguing to me. The composition is good. I think you could do a lot better with this with different camera angles and crops. Excellent crispness. |

what a wonderfully disorganised group - this could almost be a composite where you had randomly placed a string of different characters in the shot . . wait till his wife see's this :- ) |

The pattern of the bodies and their being slanted to the left instead of vertical distracts me. |

Nice image. I just don't feel the intimacy here esp with the title which injects a bit of fear. |

I guess in this case it was the lack of intimacy??? |

Intimacy, to me, means "closeness". I don't see a closeness in the image (other than a small hint at it by way of holding hands), and the title actually refers to the opposite ... so "not close" as to having been forgotten .. which, to me, also cancels the hand holding by making me think that the image isn't about those who are holding hands, but rather, is actually about a baby that isn't even in the frame. |

As a photographer, and within the confines of the challenge it up to you to convince me.
this is as intimate as rock concert, or a marathon. I get the impression of a baby sitter watching over his charge.
Sorry, but I am not convinced.
Try again. |
