 Challenge Entry #4

An original ball from the 1978 FIFA World Cup, famous for its triad pattern, giving the illusion of 12 seperate circles. I was struggling for ideas for this challenge but I really like the lighting on this image. I hope not too many people consider it to be 'shoehorned' in to the challenge description.

Taken against my new black backdrop, camera on a tripod and then speedlight, hand held over the ball, fired just once with the test button, during the 2 second exposure.

Wish score - high 5's to keep up my average.
Likely score - low 5's maybe a high 4. I reckon I'll get hammered for not having much of a pattern in the image.

Thanks, Yes it is a prized family heirloom. It belonged to my wife's late father who was on the England Football Team Coaching Staff from 1975-1981

Good idea has lots of pattern but it would be better if the whole ball was light and the background still dark
