| The pattern is clear to me. It strikes me that this might be an ideal location for trying and HDR image (although not useful for a basic challenge). I love the colors and the texture of the layers. |

| I thought the pattern was pretty obvious, even though it was a major element of the scene and not the primary subject. I gave it a 7, BTW. |

| I think that the dark area that is front and center, starting in the middle and going straight down and off to the left may have taken away from this shot some. Perhaps if it had some more light on it to show off its pattern as well the contrast of the other patterns could have been enhanced. |

| What a very cool place! And yes, the colors are magnificent. I think for this challenge, had you focused on the left side of the shot where the cool swirlies are, it would have done better, though 5.8 and the top 20% here is NOT sucking, by the way. Of course, by focusing on the left, you'd lose the deep blues and purples on the right which I think lend a lovely balance to this. |

| Good job of making this shot fit the challenge. It's the play of light that creates the patterns more than the rock layers. |

| The colors here are stunningly beautiful. I do see the pattern, circular throughout the walls of the cave, then the repetitive pattern of the "broken" walls. It is gorgeous! |

| The pattern here is subtle. How many DNMCs did you get? Well, I see it. The colors are fabulous. The black of the "ground, walkway, what are you standing on?" is almost too much up near your lightsource. This is basic, though so you couldn't do too much about that. |

| these are really good colors, but the pattern is not the main focus in my opinion. good, but i have no idea what this even is. |
