yep ... i am aware that this was not particularly orange ;-)
but i had just registered to the site and had taken this picture two days earlier ... i do like the texture of the many holes in the bark (in fact the whole tree looked like that)... glad that a few people liked it ;-)

will try to fit the topic better in the future

Maybe is this photo could have been viewed in a larger version the orange in acorns would have shown better.

It is brown, not orange, which is obvious since it is wood. I like the idea, but it seems really flat. Try cropping it to just a section of the photo, maybe 1/4 of this, like the bottom right corner. There is no place to focus like this, nothing to draw attention. Score: 4

not very orange, terribly busy with no particular subject, i.e. no central attention getter or dramatic focal point.
