| With all of the colors to choose for a backdrop, black might not be the most dramatic. A blue or soft yellow might accent the colors in the shell better. |

| Was the pattern stronger on the other side? I feel this shot has a lot of potential let down by the composition. |

| From the thumbnail, I can see a bird. Upon closer inspection, I can also see a man. Lots of interesting things to see. I think this would benefit a bit from an increase in brightness - you still a have lot of room to play with before it starts washing anything out. |

| Insufficient DOF, IMO need to get more of the shell to be sharper & crisper to make this image more impactful |
