Shutter: 1/125th sec

Date Uploaded: Mar 25, 2008

 Shot Raw, basic raw adjustment. PS; Shadow/Hilite, converted to B&W with gradient map adjustment layer. Cut back opacity of the layer to 91%. USM heavy, then Gaussian blur heavy and faded back to about 20%. Crop and Resize.

Photographically / Technically / Lighting: Outstanding. As far as "Intimacy" - I don't see it. The poses and expression looks awkward and she looks scared or concerned. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but that's just my 2 cents. Others may disagree. :)

His fist looks clutched instead of caressing... which makes me think this is not so much 'intimacy' but 'threatening'. (no points off for that, though)

I wish I could see his mouth... perhaps that would help me with the feelings.

The models look a little tense, like they dont feel comfortable with each other. Specially her. The lighting is nice. 6

Interesting. Beautiful body and they are close, but, in my not so humble opinion, their expressions hardly say intimacy. Seem to be leering at one another. Technically, well done. Hard to go wrong with the lady.

Looks very posed. Her expression is not what I would view as intimate. It is more a tired look.

Nice lighting, nice exposure great positioning. I only wish his hand looked more natural. It looks like he's trying to hold a hand grenade rather than soft flesh.

I think that lady looks a bit affraid not intimate, and I think that hands with open palms works better that fists in photos like this.

This looks really strained and uncomfortable. I would have relaxed both of their hands as they seem clenched. Her expression looks lie she is a bit nervous or not at all at ease. The lighting is nice but I might have played with mid tones a bit to bring them up a bit. ;~)

Very good meeting of the challenge. Maybe a little too much shine on the skin, better than I could do though, but otherwise a very nice shot.

I wish I could see more expression from the male in the picture. They eye contact for intimacy is critical and you don't see that in the photo. A good concept tho.

This would say intimacy to me more if she didn't look so tense and uncomfortable. This makes their situation seem more out of place than intimate in my opinion.
