Excellent use of W/B and color adjustment to achieve this powerful effect of warmth and cold at the same time. It's a bummer that the blue in the sky was lost to get the orange and red. It would be just awesome if the blue was still there for contrast.
It would be interesting to compare with the original to see how different it must look.

Fantastic image. I get the feeling of intense heat in the sky here which would melt the snow. It is some what of a clash (fire & Ice) but it works well here.
