 This was taken outside of a bar in an area of the old town of Ferrara known as the Jewish Ghetto. It is so called because Jews were locked nightly into this area when Ferrara came under Papal rule between 1598 and 1859. It also contains plaques commemorating the 92 Ferrarese killed under Fascism.
These days however, it contains a large selection of the best restaurants and bars in town, and the winding cobbled streets are a pleasure to walk around. At night the area takes on an amazing atmosphere, with the street lamps making the ochre walls glow gold.

Wonderful in b&w or color. Like the ghostly feel - as though the stories of the past are coming to life.

Keep them coming Jimi - these are fantastic - not sure whether I prefer the B & W or the colour though. Love the ghost like apparitions mingling with the revellers
