FRAGILE

See how fragile is an insect wing
One wrong touch will damage bring
Once a thing of beauty and wonder
Left dying and torn asunder.

Such was my heart in your hands
Damaged by absence and silence
Once a thing of love and dreams
Left with tears in constant stream.

Life given us is not very long
Why hurt one with whom you belong
Once love is given it's there to stay
But is left in a broken and hurting way.

by Janet Boyd

This was actually from last October (I only processed one image out of about 50). When I came across the poem earlier today, I thought of these images - a perfect fit.

Definitely not! I found him on the grill of my car.

The poem and the pic are a perfect fit, like you said. I like the processing, it adds to the emotion of the words.

You sure know how to make an entrance! This is just a bit morbid and yet beautiful at the same time. Really nice job on the overlay and processing.

The texture and vignette add so much to the already meloncholy feel of this.

I really like the cross process on this. Nice detail and composition, too. The differing textures and patterns here really add to the shot.

I love the processing also. Please tell me you did not kill the butterfly just to get this shot.

this really touched a chord.. last year while driving on skyline drive in virginia there were so many butterflies. They kept hitting the cars. When I was able to get some pictures of them most of their wings had been broken. :( Processing is perfect for this feeling
