Challenge: Motion Blur (Advanced Editing I)

I think it's kind of sad I've used myself as the model for the last four challenges. I'm sure some people recognize me already.

Anyway, this was very simple. Just put the camera on a tripod. Put the timer on, and excessively blinked while standing as still as possible for the four second exposure.

I played around a bit, moving different parts of my body, and I was happy with a couple others more than this, but the "motion" part can be seen best here, while remaining the most sharp.

PS work-

A tiny part of the door was visible at the very top, so I cropped it out, added a border, resized, messed with the levels to correct the color, blurred out the background to make the subject more prominent, as well as slightly blurring the word on the shirt to make it seems a little more in focus, if that makes any sense.

And I lightened the eyes up slightly, but didn't add any blur to them.

Neat idea... too bad the camera didn't actually capture the blinking...6

very creepy, but cool effect! looks zombie-like - extra points for a creative interpretation of the challenge

Ok I had to look at this very hard to see the motion blur, its just a little to subtle maybe, at least it is original.

Very odd indeed. Nicely off centred framing really works. ( I suspect you'll get a few "it's not centre" remarks). Colours are great, Lighting is great and the subject of your blurring is wonderfully subtle, nice work.

Eurgh, creepy. This is a VERY original (and slightly disturbed) use for MB. I like the lighting and the colour of the wall (t-shirt, skin and wall all complimentary shades of brown) and albeit a little freaked out, recognise this as a great picture. 9.

Spooky! Very well thought of, very original. Off center subject works well. A suggestion of monochrome also is very appealing. And finally, the lighting from the side adds to the eerie effect.

Very freaky, makes me feel uncomfortable looking at it. Good lighting, well composed. Perhaps a run through NeatImage might have helped?

What an unusual subject for motion blur! Somewhat disturbing result too! Idea is great - I think lighting isn't strong - too uneven - harsh on one side and too much shadow on the other. But cool idea!
