 POMT day 13.

This is Jack Spencer Hardy, he also studies at the University of Leeds and is here with me in Ferrara. Jack also lives near me on the south coast of the UK, and also ended up doing Italian due to a crappy A level in French (actually Spanish in my case - I'm quite good at French :-p).

Jack goes by many names, my favourite of which is "Jack the Naked Baker" or simply "Naked Jack". This was taken at the Café outside the castle.

I used a blue filter on the B/W conversion to ensure that this shot is as unflattering as possible. This is due to the fact that Jack goes out of his way to be an unhelpful subject - payback time. I actually quite like the expression on his face even though he's trying his hardest to look unattractive.

Having said that you're still ugly as sin Jack...

Where are the naked photos then? :o)

Fun portrait.

I had a look at your People of my Town folder yesterday. Since I've been busy and traveling, I didn't get to comment on as many photos as I wanted.

So let me say here, your candids and scenes of the town are absolutely outstanding. You do an amazing job at capturing atmosphere and character. When I was living in Europe, I spent quite a bit of time in Italy, though I was never in Ferrara per se. However, I know the type of town and am appreciating the view through your creative lens.

What are mates for Jimi??? But be careful - Jack might get back at you one day. I think also a red filter might work here to bring out the freckles and give him a tinge of red hair what do you think??lol

Jack the Naked Baker...one must ponder how that name came into being. ROFL! Great story again, and wonderful, real, honest portrait. :)
