 I do feel very sorry for a proud eagle having to live in a zoo. But in our eagles' cases, they were rescued from certain death and nursed back to health, except -- they never would have been able to fly again anyway -- so rather than let them die, they were given a safe protective haven in our zoo. And I'm sure if you could take a survey -- most animals -- if they had to live in a zoo, would probably pick the San Antonio zoo as one of their first choices of where to be. There is aLOT of attention given to creating environments with enough space, and as close to their natural environment as possible. That's why we don't have polar bears. . . it would be cruel in this heat.

Anyway, most people have an eagle photo. I really didn't until now, so here's mine.

Let's see...you are on the board? You're secretly an executive? You've been hired by the promotion committee...OH, JUST KIDDING! You are SO LUCKY to live (and work) near such a wonderful place, Sandy. No wonder you promote it so. I'm truly jealous. And, you are absolutely taking good advantage of it. This is just amazing! He looks healthy and happy to me.

And a very nice eagle picture it is, too! Great job with the eyes - very sparkling and very rich in color. Diagonal comp serves this well.

wait! so let me get this straight...this is your TEST for shooting eagles! GEESH Sandy! It's stunningly GORGEOUS!! perfect perfect perfect
and yes, it is sad to see them zooed up, though I do think they are safe there.

Wonderful image of Eagle am forever looking for them.. We have Eagles and there is a big effort to establish a nesting pair in Vermont.. It take five yrs for them to nest..
I just love your Eagle:)..
