Gotta love macro lenses. This toad is only about an inch long, and half as wide. Here he looks huge.
Out of the three new toads, this one seems the most skittish. As soon as I remove the lid to his home, he jumps out of the water and tries to hide in the moss.

Well, yeah! Wouldn't you hide with some giant alien ship coming into your home? Ha! Cool shot. He looks like he's in a forest somewhere.

He is so unusual looking. I've never seen one with those interesting colors -- especially on his chest and chin.

What a great macro. I would have indeed thought it was a huge toad. I love this!!

I never realised there was such a similarity between toads and pu ... ahem, better not say any more, except it's a really interesting specimen, especially as it's so small.
