 I was working in my yard and moved the plastic runoff catcher for a water drain and found this guy underneath. What a pleasant surprise. I grabbed a leaf off our Peace Lily and started a photo session with my new little friend. Unfortunately 1/2 the session was JPG only due to the wrong camera setting, but this was the best of the bunch anyway.

After the shoot I put him back under the drain. Salamanders are a fun find.

Awww he's so cute! I used to have one of those...brilliant shot, the water droplets really add to it.

Hi there - Great shot and great expression.
Just a quickie - Do you really think the quality of the picture would have been better had it been Raw?
I have still yet to shoot a raw frame!

Great image....I would have screamed first....then tried to save it's life from the dog. Then swoosh it back under the drain pipe. Only as an after thought, would I have actually had the great idea to photograph it. So well done.

This is amazing, not macro but nice non the less. The water drops on the leaf are perfect and he is saying i may look cute but ill eat your face off! keep up the great work
