 I've had this cactus for 5 or 6 years and this is it's first bloom. I'm so happy to be able to share this with you. See my lighting setup below.

That's one cool looking plant! With the way the leaves hang down it looks like it's ready to walk away.

What a cool photo, Roger! I love the plant, and your lighting is PERFECT! It's so clean and crisp. No shadows on the wall, and just enough interesting shadow at the bottom to give it depth. Thank you for showing us your set up. I have never had much luck with indoor lighting, but your photo helped me to see that I think I normally put my lights too far away. There are ALWAYS shadows. Always.

EEK- it's alive - there is a reason they make horror movies about plants. This one has a lot of personality but doesnt look too dangerous.

Awesome! Congrats on the bloom! And you showcased it nicely with your shot, too. Nice use of around the house lighting. Just a wee bit hot on the right edge - next time pull that one back just a bit. The overall effect, though, is excellent.
