Highly disappointed that some faceless kid showing his backside, a yellow line going through his head, and a messy bG, totally emotionless, without any kind of interaction at all to the photo bested my image.

I am kind of surprised this didn't score higher with the action and the important elements in the photo. I am also guessing the runner was safe? Great capture that deserved more respect form the photos.

LOL. This photo came up just after another photo of a player running for home. I just left that one a comment that if the ball was in the frame, it would have scored bonus points. I voted, and your image came up. Ask and you shall see.

As far as your photo, I like the composition. A nice clean background really helps the subject pop out of the image. The eye contact of the runner to the ball helps the viewer shift his attention appropriately. The noise is a bit annoying, I'm guessing a result of a high ISO to allow for a fast shutter speed. Not much to do about that short of spending thousands of dollars on fast zoom lenses.

Nice stop action. Looks pretty even, I'm going to geuss safe. Good luck

Nice timing! I like the fact that the kid on the right's shadow is just barely touching the plate, foreshadowing the inevitable out.

Great action. I feel like I am right there.

Very good catch of the action.

Super action with implied meeting of all 3 at the plate, cool.

Nice action pic, guessing he scored!

Spot on timing

Nice motion capture. Makes me wonder who got there first... Wel done.

Nice freeze of the action. The backwards play (due to a throwing error to the backstop or similar) kind of detracts from the impact.

Great capture - this would be a good one of the Tell a Story challenge - I can only imagine what is going to happen on the play - GOOD JOB!
