Would be better if exactly symmetrical, I guess. Some won't like the grain, some will. Let's see.

I don't know if that is noise or effect that you have added, but I feel it really detracts from this image. This would work much better with a nice sharp shot with a clean background.

Good shallow DOF. It's phillips, straight and torx drivers. It meets the challenge. However it is very noisy; is it very high ISO? I don't see any reason for that. Maybe some Noise Ninja or something would make it much better.

extreme macros like this are like little puzzles for our eyes - the grain only accentuates the sense of mystery
