This was one of my ribbon picks. Good score, but I expected it to place much higher. |

This would have been so much better had the tape not looked so "out of the wrapper" |

In this case, a pear shape is good! |

Not voting just commenting. Lifeless stock shot, but well executed. |

Very nice. So nice to see a bright backdrop instead of stark white. DOF on the tape measure works well. Kind of an ugly pair though with all the brown --- taste good though! |

Don't know how this will do in general but I like it, nicely balanced, like the use of the tape measure, your subject is nice and sharp but also like the shallow DOF |

I don't understand the measuring tape in this image (weight loss?) but I love the contrasting red of the background and the green of the pear |

Very cute and very well done. Good lighting, colors contrast and composition. Best of luck in the challenge. One of the best I've seen so far. |

I love this photo, but since the pear and tape measure are isolated using the red background, I would have used a larger depth of field to bring the tape measure fully into focus. |

very very good dof work and composition. red-green contrast works well too.
as there is no universally known (or say popular/accepted) dimension for a "perfect" pear (like 36-24-26), i cant say i can relate to the title but i got your point nonetheless. this should do well in the challenge. |

ooh that is a bright red background, but I love the contrast between the red, green and white. |

you should have ironed the tape measure. good color and focus. because of it's shape a pear might not be the perfect subject, my guess is you're someone who generally likes pears in your shots.
On a side note, you're lucky I forgot to buy carrots, asparagus and zucchini when I went shopping for the weekend so I had to go for another idea than this :) |
