This is a great picture! I think what really makes it for me is that you were down low where she is. It's a great perspective, and makes the world seem even bigger. |

Personally, I feel the dramatic sky adds a lot to this shot in the way of contrast and, well...drama. It does seem a tad tight on the right, but I probably wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it. And, her colorful jacket adds to picture as well. Anything else you didn't like? |

Oh, Ken!! This is PERFECT!!! PERFECT! I love the drama of the turbulent sky and how beautiful those vibrant yellow wildflowers look next to it. Of course, Cartesia lights up the scene even more than the flowers do!

DNMC - How can you say that your out of your comfort zone here. Has Cartesia disowned you????? lol. Or was she really picking flowers for Mom? |

Love the perspective. The sky is perfect with all it's overcast clods, yet a tad of blue along the horizon. The girl seems to happy too. Very nice shot here. |

The jacket makes a great contrast to the looming clouds in the sky. Absolutely love the perspective and the composition. Really nice. |

overcast skys are the best for portraits, i love it. the yellows are really nice to offset the dark skys, and her face is so youthful and glowing. And the wide angle really feels like she's just out there on her own, having the time of her life.
Very nice work. |

I love all the bright colors, the sky is really impressive. I wish I could see her eyes but it does not bother me. What I really with is that you took it from a different angle, with the trees on the background instead of the field. |

Gorgeous! I think all the colors work well with the overcast sky. They really pop out at you! The only thing I'd wish for is to be able to see her eyes. Great job! |

After reading your comment Ken I expected to see a crappy shot but I was mistaken. You captured her brilliantly. The fact there was no sun and that it was overcast gave you the best diffusion money can buy. Look at her skin tones, beautiful. The yellow flowers offset the overcast clouds and make this a great shot. |

Before I read your notes, the first thing I saw - and really liked - was the color splash that is the whole bottom half of the image. The overcast sky on top just makes the grass, the flowers, and Cartesia really pop off the screen. The jacket works well to make the shoe colors OK. I really like everything.
BTW, I think the crop worked very well too. |

ok now this is nice. the casual look on her face while she picks flowers works well, probably better than a picture of her smiling at the camera. Well done. |

I think it's fantastic! I think the jacket colors work well. Only thing I would change if I could is to have her look at the camera. Still an heirloom though! |

Heh, you know I think the vibrant colours of her jacket adds a much needed something to the overall coldness of the scene. A happy accident :) |
