 Red Bull Air Race - San Diego
Last minute submission from the Red Bull Air Race. Not sure what story it tells other than bravery, tension and quick reflexes. It's not really turning, just going on edge between two pairs of pylons. I like the multiple similar reds. I cropped a bit more clipping the left pylon to get a concrete pillar out of the bottom corner.
Cropped, adjusted overall levels, Neat Image, select top wing and red on right pylon and adjusted levels. Resize and save for web.

Interesting picture. I would have cropped it just below the writing on the cones to take out the distracting elements at the bottom of the picture and add some mystery as to how high the plane is flying.

I really like the composition of this photograph. The cones bring my attention up and the exhaust line bring my attention left... in either case, right back to the plane. Very good use of leading lines. If the rudder wasn't obscured by one of the cones it could have been better. But something tells me the plane was moving rather quickly.

The Red Bull air race is quite astonishing - those guy's are either very brave or just plain mad - and I sort of lean towards the latter . .
