i was going to enter the colour version of this in 'every picture tells a story' but unsubmitted it at the last moment coz i didnt think it had a good enough story & i felt it would score badly ..
the story is the teenage years and that feeling of vulnerability, insecurity and confusion .. worry about their self image etc etc .. and the journey to find themselves .. etc etc ..

this is the colour version ..

Awesome, Roz! I think it very much tells a story of the struggle for self-acceptance of those years. And she is so beautiful -- but that really doesn't make much difference during those years, does it!

I love it!

Excellent portrait, Roz. It's really drawing me in and causing me to stare at her like she's staring at herself. The tones are superb here.

Nope, no pimples on that gorgeous skin! This one has nothing to feel insecure about, she's beautiful! Nicely done, very telling (it probably would have done well).

WOW this is so strong and a very emotive candid portrait..... I love the strength of the black and white image, as it 'oozes' drama...... I am going to now have a look at the color version right now.....
