I gave this an above average score, because I really like the "meaning" in it. The black and white really works here. This really brings out a sad emotion, so you have done a great job. It is unfortunate that the sky is so blown out though. That is really the only thing I can complain about here. Focus and everything are good. Angle, cropping/framing etc...Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

The blown sky hurts this otherwise excellent concept.

Wow... how can you afford a digital camera when you live here?!! I like the black and white. Good job! - bamaster (9)

I'm not one who takes a lot of B/W photos, but I think that this image would have had a greater impact if it were a little bit darker in its composition, and if you opened the shutter a little wider to blur out more of the background. Overall this image has a strong statment.

would enjoy seeing the color version. b&w definitely makes it look desolate, more compelling that way? real good job, i like the empty sky, which is weird 'cause most times i favor silhouettes in the foreground and a full sky instead of detailed foregrounds and empty sky. works here though, 8 for you.

A bum sitting in this would have made a classic journalistic effort. 6 nards656
