 It's not a "people moment", but any time I can capture one of those fast-as-the-speed-of-lightning little fellows, it definitely feels like a moment captured for me.

I took this last night after a very yuk day at work, just unwinding and trying to get centered again. Photography will usually do the trick :)

I've been looking at this every day since you put it up--most of my days at work are very yucky. When I look at this, I see a glimpse of joy & freedom. My spirit is refreshed, even though my butt is still firmly anchored in my chair a work. If you put this up for sale here as a print I for one would buy it. Thanks!

WOW Sandy...if this picture didnt " do the trick" I would have to get on a plane, come to Texas, track you down and perform a PsycH eval on you!!

what a perfect ending to a day that sounds like you needed it to end this way!

WOAH - I love this. (OE might too) This is beautiful. Perfect DOF.

I'm coming back to gush some more. I truly think this is fantastic. Such an unusual pose for the little guy. The focus on his body and feet is superb. BRAVO, girl.

OMG .. this is absolutely amazing .. for starters the focus is totally perfect and then the posture .. I LOVE THOSE LITTLE LEGS all curled up and the way his body is turned ..
WOW sandy .. you are an amazing photographer .. oh .. i must'v said that about 100 times!! .. but i dont think a bit of repetition hurts sometimes .. !!
when i first opened this the focus, the legs and body were the things that hit me in the face .. then i looked some more .. ABSOLUTELY LOVE the way his beak is partly hidden by the flower that he's eating from (i dont know much about these birds, but i think they eat the nectar from flowers??) .. well thats how it looks to me .. so the way his beak is partly hidden only increases the wonderfulness of this photograph .. any processing you've done is perfect coz it looks entirely natural .. you're so good at that .. great photograph sandy .. brilliant in fact .. :)x
and i reckon it was a 'people' moment for you .. unwinding with your camera .. i cant think of a better way .. and wot a stunner you captured ..
enough already !!! .. i'll give you a swelled head .. altho i dont think that's possible .. you're very modest for a genius ..!!
