That soft, but not really soft focus more like DOF. |

Brave use of DOF to achieve softness. Probably won't do well, which is too bad -- it's very creative! |

Contrast, composition and focus all drive my eyes to the nose. Well done, a visual how-to textbook. |

I am not a dog person at all, but this shot works for me. Love the DOF and just being able to make out the rest of his body. Bumping up to 8. |

I like the idea of this but I consider it more narrow depth of field than soft focus. |
