For once the DPC Gods were thinking about me. I was scheduled to take pics of the Anchor House Ride for Runaways Training Ride and up pops the announcement of the latest challenge, WOW!
Anchor House Ride for Runaways is a one-week, 500-mile (YES, MILE), charity bike ride to support Anchor House. Anchor House is a home for runaway/abused children in the greater Trenton NJ/eastern-PA area. My oldest son did the ride twice, my youngest son once, my husband is about to do his twelfth one, and I rode twice and am about to work support this year (in July). A great cause, and an even better workout.
The ride will be from Rutland VT to Trenton NJ.

Excellent! Love everything about this shot, particularly the story behind it. Nicely done! (And I agree with yospiff - this says a lot to those of us who ride or at least used to ride, especially those of us who've ridden in charity events, though I've only done 150 miles!) |

I think this deserved to place much higher. Perhaps this photo may be the sort that makes a stronger statement to a cyclist. I see a lot of high votes in the breakdown, so many did like it. |

This looks very much like a road in France I biked. Thanks for the memory. |

I feel like the contrast is really a bit much. The shadows around his nose are too bold. Other than that, the dop is great as well as the composition. |

I like the focus on the 1st rider and gradually get foggy as you look back very clever |
