Really cool effect. I like the use of black and white here. Your DOF is great. I think though, that the reflections that the butts in the back cast, is a bit distracting to the "levetating butts" effect. Kind of gives it away. I don't know if you were trying to be "secret" about it, but I would like it it were not obvious how this was done. I really like it a lot. Great creativity, and great effort. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

good concept

My first 10 so far -- very creative! My one and only gripe is that you can see a little bit of the reflection of the first two cigarettes, but in a challenge were most of the shots look the same, it's very refreshing to see some genuine creativity!

Love the perspective --Good luck. Justine

Nice bit of Perspex, a greater DOF might have been better

Very creative. I love the DOF and the seemingly floatation of the butts. Good job. DPz

excellent composition and use of creativity for a tough challenge. The depth of field is well-used here to create the overall image... good work :) - setzler

Very creative, best cig Photo by far
10/07/2002 10:03:00 AM
Whoa! This is a very eye-catching shot. At first look, it appears the cigs are suspended above the table. I like the depth of field. B&W works great for this shot. Only thing I would suggest is a bit more contrast making the white color of the cigs stand out a little more.

Great pic, one of my two 10s I have dished out so far (both touched on the subject of smoking)... Can you let me know how to managed to 'levitate' butts?? Big fat hairy 10!!!
