 This Sunday morning I was just saying that I didn't have anything for my Free Study this month. We then went to a Zepher/Zodiac car club meet with my parents (they have a Thames van which has a Zepher motor in it apparently). There were about 30 cars lined up in two rows in a paddock on a deer farm and I knew I'd be able to get a good shot out of them.

The organisers didn't help me by parking the cars with their back to the midday sun so I spent the whole time there keeping a watch on the clouds trying to get the sun behind them. This was the best I could do and even then there are some blown out areas.

The composition is almost exactly what I had in mind before I shot. I've taken some "artistic licence" and changed the colour of the Zodiac for this shot - it was a grey colour.

Selective Colour: Greens, Magenta -40
Gaussian Blue on the grass and under the car to reduce some stubborn noise

My uncle had a Zepher! 1964 model in Melbourne. He rushed me to hospital in it while I had an asthma attack. I was 4 and I remember lying on the back seat struggling to breathe while my Grandma prayed and cried...I made it to hospital, but they saud, 10 more minutes and I would not be typing this on dpc! Great image Gerry, congrats on a great result in a FS
