It's great to wake up to the smell of coffee in the morning, too bad I always get my caffine other ways. :) I never realized that coffee beans had that much texture, interesting detail when up close.

I think some noise ninja or neat image would have helped here. Then again i'm not a huge cofee fan so maybe i'm biased...lol... j/k ;-)

The texture is great, but there is a lot of noise in the blue channel on this shot. The darkest shadows are where it comes out. I agree with Craig in the crop might have been just a little to much to get that macro feel.

Nice photo. I agree about the graininess. Did you perhaps do a really tight crop to and in doing so zoomed in the image?

The textures are a great idea, really think the problems stem from your lack of light.
Would have liked it a lot more if the tone was warmer too.

Looks a little grainy somehow. You shot at a low ISO and long shutter speed, so I am not sure what caused it. Maybe just a little more tweaking and sharpening. Of course my own first post to this side challenge is not exactly stunning art.
