great little undieyatchin study. For funsies I wonder what it would have looked like with the middle tree dead center and the other right near the edges. |

Amusing with the crop suggestions about the crop. Any crop creates a different image entirely. My opinion is a little more drama, especially in the darker areas - if sticking with this b&w (although I wonder about tonal variations). Just read you took this with a p&s, well done (composed/perspective/etc) for that. |

Go square with your crop, crop the dirt and let the eye wander to the rightmost tree. I might even consider a reshoot that eliminates the tree on the left. I like how the middle tree is closer to the camera and gives real depth to your picture. Very harmonious photo. |

I actually would go the other way, I would crop off the top (the white sky against the rest of the pic kinda bugs me). I think the patterns are enough to make the picture! |

This is good if a little too busy. I think the rows of flowers (crops?) leading to the trees on the horzion, with the land filling the bottom third or so of the frame, would have been good on its own. Of course you probably didn't want to go traipsing through someone's property with your camera to get a better shot. I'm glad I could recompose your image for you.
Working with what you have, I think cropping off the bottom row of dirt and grass would help orient the viewer and make it less busy. I'm wondering too how this might have looked in low-saturation color or a duotone.
Probably more than you wanted to hear from me... |
