This is my favorite acoustic guitar I've ever played. It is a 1960's Gibson LG-0. All mahogany body, dried out wood, beautiful, rich, deep sound. That is what I used to inspire the look of this. It was actually in someone's attic for 15 years when it came to be in my possession, and it still plays perfect... even if I don't.
Photoshop was convert from RAW, curves, black and white w/ sepia tint, small boost to exposure, burn the inside of the soundhole so that it was all black, resize, usm, burn a couple glare spots, save for web.
I think so far this one and Connected are my favorites.

This is great, everything about it, the lighting is perfect, the feel of the shot is right on, great tones, really nice work. |

I really like this duotone version as my eyes are really drawn to the textures and wood grain, versus color and shadow of the original. Nice photo - nice axe. Classic Kalamazoo artistry. |

Nice shot. I have a minor preference for the color of the original. The weather one looks, well.. weathered. (Reminds me of my Sepia submission where I deliberately made it look old and faded and then got comments that it lacked contrast and was noisy.) |
