 I have had some comments about the original of this photo and I have always wanted to eliminate the little blotch of blue above the main flower. So, I cropped it to a square format removing both the blotch and an area of a leaf that was in too clear a focus for my taste. The original is available here.

great crop. i agree with TCGuru. i might lighten the image a tad. it seems just a bit under for my taste, but could be the monitor at work as well. nice work.

I had wondered if you dodged those petals at all... I see from the original that you did not. Unless that one has been processed a tiny bit? :) I wonder what it is that is giving them that odd lighting if you didn't. This crop works much better! Your edit certainly put the flower into focus instead of a BG or other element. Good going.
