 Here is a update of my boat challenge photo. I had several suggestions about the shot, some of which I could have implemented, some I couldn't.

My original thought was to use the boat as a metaphor for longing. As in the original, the boat longs for the past, its captain, and in this a little boy longs for his future, the large boat.

I am not very happy with this, but I thought I would send it out for the curious. So, have at it. Let me know what you think, if anything.

Oh, BTW. The big boat image was found on the internet to expedite this experiment.

I really like the appearance of the boy and not so crazy about the blur & other boat perhaps because the tone and mood all of a sudden is different..

the kid is great. the transition blur is too much for my taste, as TCGuru mentioned. i like the idea, but im not sure how much it is conveyed without you telling us. maybe if the kid sat closer to the dock and the large boat was closer to him, he might seem to look at it more. great PP work in all this.

The blur on the boat in the BG doesn't match the rest... other than that, this is a lovely image and you did a good job of PP in the kid.
