 I took this image of our Lilacs with my SMC-A 50mm F1:2.0, with the second extension ring ... approximately 2 cm of extension.

Judging from the image, I estimate the depth of field at about 3mm. The focus ring on the lens gives almost no focus adjustment range. Let me tell you, focusing my moving the camera a couple of mm at a time is no fun.
