 A photo of genuine fog on the north Oregon Coast in June. Though I shot this originally as a possible entry in high contrast (as an "anti-type" entry), after coming up with a better-serious entry for that challenge, I decided to enter this mostly monochromatic shot into crime scene. Why you might ask? These types of challenges tend to have a lot of pretty harsh images. Voters need a visual break. Crime investigation often begin with fogginess, so I though it was a play on the theme in a symbolic way. And yes, this was a light-weight but successful attempt to both score as low as possible, and take home another coveted brown. Thanks for all the low votes. I was disappointed to score so highly, and had hoped at least to get into the 2's. Maybe the summer beach sun will clear my head of the coastal fog yet!

Ya know, it's hard to tell sometimes if someone is going for the brown or not... it's fun to look at the comments though. About half knew what you were up to, a few even knew it was you, and the rest gave serious critiques! :-)

I didn't vote, but thought you might like a critique. There is far too much detail in the fog to get a sub-3 average score. That certainly is a crime. ;)

Hope you didn't expect to get anything over a 3 in the final tally - I suspect you were fishing for the brown ribbon. I never did understand why some do that.
