I thought this was a beach with all that sand. Good eye and that autolevels sure did this justice. |

Seen in isolation without your notes, I would have sworn this was on a beach. Very atmospheric. |

I totally agree that this has a post apocalyptic feel to this. Like the bomb just went off and and the hazy aftermath is floating around the desolation that is left. Awesome shot! |

The BW makes a stronger statement with the ladder, but I prefer the mood of the colour version. (I am always delighted to see both versions). - The tones in the colour version are so warm and subtle, and I feel more 'there' in it.

The B&W conversion works so well here, draws you in! Has a surreal quality, a ladder that goes nowhere... |

This is great, love the way the ladder/platform is isolated in the dust/haze/whatever with just a hint of the objects in the background. Way cool. |

This is very spooky and sort of dream like... could even think of it as a nightmare. It reminds me of those "end of the world" movies where only a handful of people survive some ungodly accident. I love the noise and the vignetting, they add to the unreality of the image. |

This has an 'eerie' feeling to it, quite mysterious, and unknowing.
I like the grain as it add to the effect. Also kind of lonesome but that a good thing..... Yes, I like it a lot..... |

Looks can be deceiving. At first I thought this was a beach shot with some ground fog. This is really weird. Good work. |

It stands like a monolith. I can hear the 1968 A Space Odyssey score playing in my head. A bit spooky in the something isn't quite right kind of way. What happens if you climb up there?

WOW - the minimalism speaks volumes. Like a platform to nowhere. The symbolism is fine here. :~) |

this is great Deb. I love how the dust makes it really feel left behind. |

There's something wonderfully surreal about such an everyday object apparently in total isolation. |
