Challenge: Free Study 2008-06 (Advanced Editing VII)
Camera: Nikon D80
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED
Date: Jun 28, 2008
Aperture: 22
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/10
Date Uploaded: Jun 29, 2008

3 images (-1.5, 0, +1) HDR with Photomatix, Curves, some Hue/Sat adjustments to brighten the blue, rust up the red, and tone down the yellows, sharpen, resize, add border, save.

This was taken for the rural landscapes but I liked my urban better so I put this in free study. I'm hoping for a very high 5. My first try had too many halos from sharpening. I just wish the wind was more still on the day I took it.

Make that blue sky "pop" and you'll have a very good photo.

The wheat in the foreground is a neat effect, though I would like to see more details on the cool old tractor.

A boost in the colour would have helped here.

This brings back lots of memories of being raised on a Minnesota farm. We had John Deeres, but we had neighbors with Farmalls. It's a good old reliable tractor.
