 This really is a slice of life. There's a major fire burning west of town, and it took out some power lines last night. We, and 150,000 other people were in the dark last night for over four hours. This was the sky about 6:00 p.m. -- taken from my mother's drive way. So... no processing. This is pretty much as it came from my camera.

Sorry to hear about the fire and being out of power. On the bright side, you did get a wonderful shot!

Wow, I thought this was a picture or a sunset until I read your comments. Fantastic colors and I love the silhouetting in the foreground.

Gosh, it seems so hard to believe. We hear about the fires on the news over here in Europe, but it's so hard to really appreciate how bad they really are. Stay safe.

I read about how the smoke is affecting the color of the sky, but seeing it here makes it seem even more incredible. It looks like a sunset without the sun setting.
