This is flash - bounced off a reflector, on manual exposure. I'm really loving doing that.
Patch tool, on a skin blemish. Glam blur action. Sharpened eyes and lips.
Raw, converted to jpeg in Camera Raw. Processed and saved in sRGB. Hope the colour space looks ok. It may be a little unsharp....I didnt realise at the time I was handholding a 105mm lens at 1/40 sec, but I think there was little ambient light, and the flash has mostly frozen the motion blur.
For me, this photo really captures "where she's at", at this stage of her life. By nature, she is calm, dignified, sometimes a little soft, perhaps too easily hurt. But that's her. And I adore her. |

A very beautiful picture of your daughter. The picture definitely conveys a since of softness and dignity. I think the color looks wonderful but it isn't like I know that much about color to begin with. Great texture you captured in her sweater. |

You comments describing her add so much to this photo, and I think you've captured her well.
I've bounced the flash off the ceiling but never even thouhg about an umbrella. I'm going to try that, hopefully during this side challenge. |

She looks so unaware, so either you have made her feel totally comfortable in front of the camera (which is great!), or you caught her at an excellent moment. A very lovely portrait. |

Excellent lighting! That's the first thing that jumped out at me when I saw the image. Beautiful little model, too. |

natural and appealing .. her eyes are stunning and your focus spot on .. your processing is perfect .. soft and delicate to go with your daughter's expression and 'look' .. excellent on many levels .. :) |
