Another year has passed, since I have taken a photo of my budgie, called Buddy. He is getting older in budgie years now, but we still love him.
We have had Buddy in our family for more than three years now, and it is only lately the the top of her beak has gone brown. We recently found out, that he is a she. We had a feeling that he was a she, as he really did not like to be touched or held, as that is a good sign.
He really loves to be out with us on the coffee table, and also my magazine stand, and chatters away all day long.
Buddy cannot fly very well, as his flight feathers are crossed at the back. He used to fly a little, mostly gliding, but now he actually falls to the ground most times.
His cage door is always open, so that he can climb out on to the top of his cage. He also loves sitting on top of my three tiered magazine stand, for most of the day. He goes in and out of the cage for food and water.
He also love being with us early in the morning, when we are eating breakfast and having a tea or coffee break.
We get a lot of pleasure from this little Budgie. We would miss him so much he he was not around and is part of our family.
I have add a couple of images of him when he was younger, as he is now kind of showing his age a little, but we still love him.

| The colors really make this picture. The bright blue of the bird against the dark brown and the light purple really makes he/she stand out more. Fantastic detail and clarity. |
