 On my way home from work tonight, I stopped over at Port Melbourne, and took this...........the ferry to Tasmania, which sets sail each night, to cross the Bass Strait, and return the next morning.

Long exposure, shortly after sunset, when it already looked totally dark. Not a technically perfect shot, with blown highlights, but it is what I see on my way to and from work each day, so therefore truly a slice of life, for me. I hate commuting, but I love seeing the ferry, and all the people coming and going on it.

I like the vibrant colors. It really gives this a regal appearance.

Thanks all, for the comments. No Ken, I didnt tonemap it, and dont even know how to do HDR. It's just a long exposure, just after sunset.......hardly any photoshopping at all, apart from saturating the red.

I really like the colors and reflections; it looks like a painting. Did you tonemap this? I only ask because this would make a great study for HDR.

wonder where the saying the" Tasmanian Devil" comes from.. Nothing to do with your photo the name just made me think of it..

Outstanding Colors and image of Ferry.. Definitely attractive..
