Just happened upon this again.
I would have preferred fewer books. I was a double EE as well, and could fit everything I needed for a day in a backpack. (Also, they made me take Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Diff EQ sequentially, not simultaneously. Must be why you were so much better at math than me ;) )

First a late thank you to all the commenters.
bill_hk2002: I have degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science, but started out in Electrical Engineering (did not last long before math pulled me in :D ).
BTW: would you have preferred more or fewer books?

What kind of Engineer are/were you? I have several of those texts in storage from my days in college.
Anyway, pose and positioning are good. The two things that I thought that could possibly be improved were: the number of books, and the color scheme (not sure the duotone is the best choice for this.)
The expression on your wife is priceless. Looks like she is ready for a study break. Clearly the other commenters didn't struggle through engineering school. |

One of my favourites from the few entries based upon the Knowledge is power theme. Good positioning and pose, nice use of lighting, good luck. |

I like the sepia for this one...adds the feeling of time passage, as if she has actually read the books already. Nice shot with good composition. |

I think that this is a good idea, but I think that maybe the model is detracting from the message. I think that the stack of books would have been better by themselves. Maybe it would work with a different expression on her face...I do like the colors, though. |

Oh great another babe and books shot...LOL! just kidding....Like the tonality....I think however to convey your idea better you might have had your model looking down and actually reading. |

Nice shot, good use of Sepia. Maybe seeing more of the book on her lap, i.e. not cropped so much on the right? |

Knowledge is power. Good idea to use the black shirt (blouse, top??), as it gives the photo a better range of tones. Good job! A 10 from me. |

How does the sepia coloring add to the photo. When I think sepia, I think older photo, your model and the subject matter is incongruous with an old photo. |
