Having the same camera as yours, I'm pretty sure you could do much better on the focus. Try making use of the Macro mode for shots like these, it helps. As a thumbnail this photo looks deliciously nice, but once blown-up the focus really makes me "lose appetite". Cheers. |

out of focus and needs to be placed better in the frame. |

You have surely been getting the out of focus comment all week long. So, I'll mention that you color combinations work pretty well, but your cropping is slightly off. Move the chicken to the upper left more, filling in the open space up there, and bringing the bone tip into the frame. |

Are you the same person who took the 1 last time of the perfectly blurry tree? |

out of focus - too close for your camera? |

Out of focus and would be better if it was all in the frame. |

I think the message of the photo is ok, but I would like to see more focus. |

Looks delicious but totally out of focus on main object, the meat. The grid is clear but clearly not the subject. Poor lighting |

the grill contrasting the drumstick is good..composition is good also. ..a little out of focus on my screen. |

This could have been a really nice shot, but it looks like you had some focus issues. |

beautiful use of out of focus, framing is perfect, subject is interesting, my sarcasm is out of control ;) sorry, i'm just kidding...but seriously, this photo doesn't work at all (for me). If it had been in focus with a more interesting frame, it would have gotten better marks...good luck |

Only one piece? why is the flame off? poor quality |

Appetizing photo. Would have worked better, at least for me, with a sharper focus. Nice idea though. 5 |

Looks tasty. Would help the overall quality if the chicken was more in focus. |

I would vote higher then a 3, but it is way to far out of focus to be a good photo. I do however like the idea. Take alot of photos and then submit the best one. Vote 3 Sonifo |

this looks better in the thumbnail, not very sharp. |

sinfully good, but just one? it's also a little out of focus. |

That does make me hungry :) Great job for that effect! The focus seems very soft to me... was this intentional? - JB |

BBQ Chicken, yummm, but the focus seems to be beyond the meat, makes it looks less appealing IMO. 5 Swash |

I wish this was in focus. The whole shot looks blurry, I would have rated it much much higher if it weren't for the focusing. |

This is out of focus. If this was intentional, I don't understand why or how it improves the image... - setzler |

I've never seen chiken look so bad and untasteful. Bravo! :-) Very on theme. BUT, framing adn better lighting could have made this photo a lot better. 6/10 for the effort and originality. |

I'm sorry, but a piece of meat cooking doesn't imply sin to me. And it is out of focus, at that. |

challenge - met, good idea technical - the focal point seems to be behind the piece of chicken, the chicken itself is blurry. composition - it often works better to not have the main object in the center of the photo, and to either crop off bigger parts or nothing at all. just the tip of the bone to the left looks accidental. 3 -- gr8photos |
