This hibiscus is a real masterpiece! The color is beautiful, the capture of the texture makes me wanting to touch it, the lines center-edges look just great.
It's a wonderful composition!

The lines leading to the center strike me too as they are almost mesmerizing, unique, and specific..Another aspect is the orange color of the Hibiscus. Beatieous!! |

I really really like how the lines just keep drawing your eye into the center of this shot. Very nice gift you received and I'm glad you saved it for posterity (by way of a nice shot) for the rest of us to enjoy. |

This is almost hypnotizing the way the petals gently curve around. It really pulls you into the center.
The reds seemed a bit over-saturated to me, so I tested turning the saturation down a bit in Photoshop via Hue/Saturation. I didn't like the outcome, but then just turned the brightness down (a lot!) on the red level with the same tool. It looks like a pit of fire! Your version is much happier.

Just look at those colours. I so love your square crops. They work so well. Living in an apartment restricts me a bit to cut flowers or parks and other peoples gardens. Just great. |

I love orange flowers! I've never seen an orange hibiscus. They don't grow here so the only ones I've seen were away or in greenhouse. Simply beautiful! |

Wow Sher what a great start. I love the colour orange so this is def. in my alley for gorgeous. Beautiful tonal values and superb focus. I cut myself on that sharpness, ouch. :)

Beautiful study as per usual. Your images are always so clean. I remember you saying that you dust the plants before shooting them - but I assume some post dusting is also required. Anyway, the results are always quality. |
