 Another one of those amazing everlasting sunsets. The sunset lasted from around 23:00 unitl 2:00 resulting in a sleepless night and a very tired day at work. It was worth it.

Shot in a Reykjavík suburb called Seltjarnarnes.

Actually this is not the sunset itself but in the opposite direction to it. It happens rearly but shooting in the opposite direction has many advantaged, the foreground is much better lit, and the highlights in the sky are not as extreme.

These clouds are formed by hard high altitude winds passing over the mountain in the foreground.

Canon EOS 30D, EF-S 10-22mm @10mm, 3,2 second exposure at f11 using ISO100. 3 stop hard GND filter.

Love the fiery sky. Very pleasing composition with the almost crystalline formation of rocks in the foreground.

Beautiful photograph! Colors are amazing and the subjects are soothing and pleasant to look at. Can't tell for sure if this is an HDR shot - if so, it's very subtle and well done. And if not, then you did a great job getting the entire dynamic range in. 10
