Used a nice sunset and shot pretty much into the sun as my friend warmed up before taking off at hole #7 at Brollsta Golf Club. No golf balls were injured taking this shot.

Stuck pretty much to basic editing - levels, saturation etc. Desaturated away some purple fringe around the trees at the end.

I used to live on a street called silhouette drive! Nicely done shot, i like the purple hue.

The rule of thirds, I think, would have helped this image out very much.

Interesting shot, but the composition is a bit off to me. It looks like you couldn't decide whether to centre the golfer in the frame or not. I'd crop tightly to his left, leaving plenty of negative space for him to shoot/look into. The blurred trees don't really work for me. I'm not sure about the graduated burnt out sky behind him... it looks a tad accidental rather than planned. A great idea though, and the silhouetted pose is a good one.

the glow behind/around the golfer is a little too distracting (imho).

you have / had a great idea here. I'm personally not fond of center subject compositions, which takes away from the image visually.... for me.

I think there's too much sharpening.

This would be much improved if the tree at the golfer's right elbow was not there...

Great idea - nice capture of the moment. Detractors for me: 1) Move the golfer to the left in the frame. 2) The tree at the golfers front blocks out his shape.
