Day 5 of 30 Days of Flowers
One of my very favorite flowers, the Morning Glory. I've done lots of shots of them so decided to play with processing on this one ... plus it was grainier than I wanted in places so some rescue was in order. Now it looks like the center is rising out of a deep blue sea like one of those old movies where Esther Williams rose up on a lighted platform ... to me, anyway ;-) Love the color, even though it's dark. And no visible bugs (I cloned them out!).
12mm extension tube; in retrospect I could have gotten a better shot without it since the sun hadn't really hit that part of the yard yet.
PP - converted from RAW (increased shadows significantly and corrected some for noise), cropped, white balance, levels, cloned out bugs, decreased gamma, 2nd layer (Gaussian blur, brightened, merged in multiply mode), resized, sharpened with noise reduction. |

I tend to make my comment before reading others so not to get influenced by what has been said before, but I just stopped myself with this one. I was about to write "looks like a little nighlight shining in the dark" and then I did happen to read quiche's comment. Anyway, it does. It's really a lovely flower. |

Cool. I like the way it looks like a glowing light is emerging from the flower. |

I always comment before reading other comments, and I see that it's unanimous - your garden is full of black holes! |

Embrace the grain, be the grain...
It's a black hole sucking all those rich blues into it, and a bolt of energy escaping to mark the event. This is great. |
