Again, with extension tubes. I keep wanting to sharpen it more, but I'm scared of going too far. It seems a little too soft to me, but it's a flower, that's good right? Sigh...

delicate - the sharpening is right on the money here - perfect focus on the tops of the petals

It's perfect just the way it is. Pastel colors tend to look soft, no matter what. You'd better judge sharpness by looking at the edges of the petals instead of looking at the whole thing. The droplets are a nice touch.

Nope, don't sharpen more. You're just starting to get an oversharpened edge on the rightmost blossom where it's close to the right edge of the frame. Any more, and that area would look oddly overdone. It's a very nice photo just as you have it here.

I'm actually not sure what it is. It wasn't from my garden. This shot is with a couple extension tubes on, so it's a very small flower.

I think it's just sharp enough. Beautiful colors and I like those little splashes of sunlight falling on it.

Looks good from here. All that is sharp is not necessarily gold!

Sharpening seems just right without going to far (which I'm guilty of often). Beautiful detail here.

It's sharp enough -- I try to err on the side of undersharpening, as I really dislike the halos you get when it's overdone. Your edges are distinct, as are the color "veins" on the petals -- I think it's fine. Remember you have a shallow DOF and not all of it can be sharp anyway.

I like the somewhat odd color combination; from the thumbnail it looked almost like you had flames for a backdrop. :-)
