 This is a shot from yesterday. The little flower buds that aren't open look like Kermit the Frog's fur. And yea, the tip is blown, grrr.

This is the same flower. Not quite open.

the composition is excellent - with the buds below - i think the lighting on the top of the bloom is a bit bright -grrrr...

Like the overlapping, tightly wrapped petals in the bud. Maybe do a little darkening on the tip of the bud?

I agree with the comparison with Kermit's fur!! :) The blown tip does not bother me at all. Love the twirl on the petals.

I can still see the texture on the bottom of the open bud; it's very cool. If you have time you could try cloning some texture onto the blown bits. Side challenges are for processing experiments ;-)

Very neat. Agree with toning down the background. Your eye wants to cheat and try to make out what's back there.

I really like this one! Only suggestion is to tone down the background a little to make the flower stand out more. Great composition - love the energy of this one.
