 My wife and I went for a walk in the City of Barrie, Ontario Canada, during our daughters dance competition. I spotted this giant sculpture at the shores of Kempenfelt Bay.
I thought it would be perfect for the silhouette challenge just by the way the sun was behind so that my shot was almost directly into the sun.

Not much editing required, just sharpened and resized for the rules. I hope this shot does well, in the wake of my recent DQ from the window challenge.

I am looking for some black in this image an don't see any. I would say it is a little over exposed.
I really like the point of view you used. it draws my eye into the image.. with a very striking image of a sculpture. I am not sure it it produces a whole lot more though,... more than a good picture of the sculpture... but that is an allright thing too, if that is what you are looking for.

Not sure what a Kempenfelt is - but this is a very dynamic graphic. The steps at the base are great as is the shape at the top. Well done indeed.

OHMYGOD! That's where I grew up. I went to school with the artist's son (innisdale secondary school in Barrie)! Great idea for this challenge. - The spirit catcher, right?
